Why the same appliance has three model numbers
You find a vacuum cleaner or air fryer you like, then see it at another shop with a slightly different code. Here is what is going on and how to compare fairly.
Retailer-exclusive versions
Manufacturers often make small variations of one product for different retailers. The core machine is usually the same, but the colour, the accessories in the box or the warranty length can differ, and each version gets its own model number. That makes direct price comparison harder.
What to compare
- Accessories: count the tools, attachments or baskets included.
- Capacity and power: check the litres, wattage or battery size on the specification table.
- Warranty: some versions come with a longer guarantee when you register with the brand.
- Colour: often the only difference, and the cheapest colour can change week to week.
How we handle it
When we list a deal we name the exact model code, so you can check you are getting the same version the price applies to.
